About the Project

We worked with HP's stakeholders around the world to identify and develop environmental requirements to ensure that HP’s products and packaging meets or exceeds the strictest regulations in every country where HP products are sold.

Approach:

We worked with HPs stakeholders around the globe to identify and develop environmental requirements to ensure that HP’s products and packaging meets or exceeds the strictest regulation in every country where HP products are sold.

Results:

The final series of documents, called the HP General Specification for the Environment (GSE), are shared with all HP suppliers. The GSE sets the standards for suppliers to ensure that HP’s products and packaging meet the strictest requirements for chemical inputs, energy usage, waste, climate impacts, water usage, air emissions, and biodiversity/forestry issues. The requirements address sourcing the raw materials through manufacturing, consumer use, and end-of-life of the product.

The GSE is posted for viewing on HP's for website
